Two Term Ratio: compares 2 quantities measured in the same units.
ex.
or 1:2 or 1/2 or 1 to 2
Three Term Ratio: compares three quantities measured in the same units.
ex.
or 1:2:3 or 1 to 2 to 3
Part to Part Ratio: compares different parts of a group to each other.
ex.
or 1:1 or 1 to 1
Part to Whole Ratio: compares one part of a group to the whole group.
ex.
1/2 or 50% or 0.5 - A part to whole ratio can be written as a fraction, a decimal, and a percent.
Rates: compares two quantities measured in different units.
ex.
$2.00 per 10g or $2.00/10g- rates can be used when buying food.
Unit Rate- a rate in which the second term is one.
ex.
20km an hour or 20km/hr
Unit Price- a unit rate used when shopping.
ex.
per 100g or per 100ml
Proportion- a relationship that says that two ratios or two rates are equal.
ex.
- Proportion can also be written in fraction form.

ReplyDeleteHAHA funny video mark great job on it. You hardly ever looked in the camera so next time when you do another video you should look more into the camera. Your post is also very good nice color and nice pictures. Also you were very loud and easy to hear but in some parts it was hard to hear because of the wind but other than that good job.
