Math Profile
Hi, my name is Christian. I am a math student in grade 8. If someone asked me "Do you like math?" I would tell them no, I don't like math. I don't like math because it makes my brain hurt, and its NOT my strongest subject at all! The best thing I have ever done in a math class blog. I liked blogging before, because I thought it was fun, and something that I could do to use up my free time!
In grade 7, the best unit I studied was Fractions, because I really like fractions. I remember talking about thirds and quarters, and turning fractions into percents. This unit made me struggle because of Equivalent Fractions, because some fractions are really big like 85/255, but is actually equivalent to one third. That is what really grinds my gears. This year I will try to listen to everything in class, and study more often.
This year is grade 8. I will try to complete my homework so that we can move on to other lessons, so my fellow peers can also learn new things, as well as I can. I will also try to complete blogs so that my friends can view lessons that they missed. I am looking forward to learning more algebra and becoming as good as Mr. Harbeck in math by the end of the year.
Last year I did blog, a favourite post of mine was an Exam Review to help get other students ready for the exam. I'm proud of this post because I had a video, pictures, and I made the blog well understandable. Blogging helped me become a better student because it helped me remember what I learned that day. This year I hope to do MORE blogs than last year.
