Algebra

variable-
a letter that represents a number in an equation or expression.
constant-
the constant is the integer in algebra. n+5 -- +5 is the constant
expression-
a pattern that has many possible answers.
equation-
has only one possible answer.

One-step equations:
  1. Isolate the Variable
  2. Cancel the Constant using a Zero Pair
  3. Balance (do to both sides)
  4. Verify to check
shaded tiles= positive
non-shaded tiles= negative
