Final Percent Post

1.) This Chapter was about percents, fractions, and decimals. We learned a lot of new things about percents like using decimals and hundred girds to find percents. Percent means out of 100.

Representing Percents


You can represent percents by using a hundred grid.
EX.



Fractions, Decimals, and Percents

Percents can be written in Fraction and Decimals.
EX. 50%, 50/100, 0.5


Percent of a Number

You can use mental math strategies such as halving, doubling. and dividing by 10 to find percents of a number.

You can also find the percent of a number by
converting the percent to a decimal and multiplying it by the number.
EX. 50% of 100
50 divided by 100 = 0.5
0.5 x 100 = 50

Combining Percents

Percents can be combined by adding to solve some problems.
EX. 5%+6%= 11%.
