a²+b²=c²
4²+3²=c²
16+9=c²
25=c²
In this triangle, a²=4 cm², b²=3cm². To figure out the hypotenuse you use the formula a²+b²=c². After you figure out what c² equals (25), you find the square root.√25 = 5. So the hypotenuse is 5.
2) Use a second grid to create a²+b²=c²
3) Make the triangle c² to c... How?
To make the triangle c² to c you find the square root of the answer for c².
